| Description: | Hermes Landscaping is looking for an experienced Commercial Estimator with prior landscape or green industry experience. The Estimator is responsible for producing bids on commercial projects, preparing a take off based on the information contained in the construction drawings. The successful candidate will work on Design/Build construction projects. From shopping plazas to the largest of sporting venues you will be involved in the area's most high profile projects! Requirements for the Estimator position: • Reviews plans and specs issued by architects for the solicitation of bids. Must be able to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications. • Developing accurate, competitive, and profitable bid proposals for a variety of projects ranging from 10K to over 3 million using estimating software. • Working with suppliers and vendors to compile data for estimates. • Often the estimator will need to solicit information form the architect to complete the bid as well as answer questions regarding the method used for the take off to clients. • Preparing a written scope of work for presentations. Reading, analyzing and interpreting blueprints and other bid documents. • Excellent oral communication skills are required. Building strong, long term customer relationships is a must. This is a fast paced department with time critical deadlines.
