Expand and secure your career in the landscape business as an Account Manager with fast growing Landscape Maintenance Company in south San Jose. As an Account Manager you will have operational and profit responsibilities for a portion of our commercial landscape maintenance accounts. You will be the Company’s primary contact for your clients. Depending on your experience and abilities, you will be responsible for 4 to 8 maintenance crews and manage maintenance contracts valued between 700k and 1.5k per year. As an Account Manager you will use your management skills to direct the day to day activities of the Field Supervisors,Landscape Improvement Group and the Crew Leaders assigned to you. You’ll use your horticultural skills to design, propose and sell landscape enhancement/renovation projects.
Responsibilities Include: •Communicates frequently with clients via phone, email, and Job walk throughs •Assures routes are loaded effectively and routed for maximum efficiency •Ensures safe work environment for personnel •Reviews jobs with Field Supervisors and Crew Leaders for quality •Directs Enhancement renovation projects including layout, design implementation and other duties as required •Meets frequently with clients to conduct site walk-throughs and propose enhancement ideas •Generates written landscape enhancement proposals and sells to clients •Directs and reviews work of Irrigation Techs •Reviews monthly Budget •Interacts effectively with Sales Department to assure smooth start-ups of new jobs
Qualifications:
•Horticulture degree OR 2 plus years as current Account Manager/Project Manager •Plant knowledge •Understands standard maintenance practices •Irrigation knowledge/Controller programming •Design skills (helpful) •Good Powers of Observation •Some Spanish desired, Bilingual preferred •Lead and motivate personnel •Good computer skills: Outlook, Word, (Excel helpful) •Professional attitude and demeanor •Good organization, time management, multi-tasking, task prioritization, and communication skills
